Life experience

[Life experience or ministry: for Bachelor's Program]

Hope International Seminary of Theology offers special recognition for pastors They may be assistant pastors, youth pastors, etc.). Under US education law (they must be 26 years of age or older upon admission), our University-Level Seminary may recognize a significant number of credits for ministerial experience (up to 25% of courses may be waived depending on ministerial experience). The benefit must be requested by letter, including your resume or life history, signed by the interested party and by the tutor or spiritual authority.

This opportunity can be very useful for pastors who want to enroll in the Bachelor of Practical Ministry Theology program and then continue on to the Master's and Doctorate programs.

25% is equivalent to approximately 5 subjects from the 21-subject Bachelor in Practical Ministry Theology program. (Bachelor's Degree in Practical Ministerial Theology) and these subjects approved by Ministerial Experience are credited at 50% of the value of the course in force in the Program and Methodology being studied (VCV).

[Life experience or ministry: for Master's Program]

More than two decades ago a law was approved in the United States that benefits those students who are older than 25 years of age and who want to continue with their university education (they must be at least 26 years of age when enrolling). They can receive credit for their accumulated experience through the different Christian ministry work they have performed, and so be able to complete their university studies in an accelerated manner.

This benefit gives potential students one of two options:
- Enter directly into the Master's Degree in Practical Ministry Theology.
- Accredit two subjects from the Master's Program. You do not take these subjects and pay for the credits for these two subjects at 50% of the current value of the Program and Methodology you are studying (VCV).

We must clarify that a student can only use the “Life Experience or Ministry” benefit once (in the Master's Program). In other words, if you enter the Master's Program through this benefit, you CANNOT later request that credits be approved to take fewer courses.

1. By taking advantage of this benefit, we can offer pastors, teachers, evangelists, and others (or other recognized ministries) With more than 10 years of service in the ministry, direct admission to the Master's Degree program. By meeting this requirement of having 10 or more years in ministry, they no longer need to be high school graduates or have a previous bachelor's degree.

2. The experience is worth academic credits. Students who wish to use these credits to their advantage must send the Academic Council a letter signed by the Regional Director of Hope International Seminary of Theology; in the case of correspondence or online courses, by their immediate authority (certifying the veracity) informing us of their curriculum vitae or life history, so that we can evaluate it and students can enter and graduate quickly from the Master's program.

[Life experience or ministry: for Doctoral Program]

This law, which we explained above, benefits students over the age of 26 who wish to complete their university education. They can be given credit for the experience they have accumulated through their various roles over more than 15 years in Christian ministry, enabling them to complete their university studies at an accelerated pace.

The benefit granted at this university level is that students can earn credit for two subjects in the doctoral program. They do not take these subjects and pay for the credits for these two subjects at 50% of the current course value in the program and methodology they are studying (VCV).

We must clarify that a student can only use the “Life Experience or Ministry” benefit once (in the Doctoral Program). In other words, if you enter the Doctoral Program through this benefit, you CANNOT subsequently request that credits be approved to take fewer courses.

Students who wish to use these credits for their benefit must send the Academic Council a letter signed by the Regional Director of Hope International Seminary of Theology; in the case of correspondence or online courses, by their immediate authority (certifying the veracity) providing their curriculum vitae or life history, so that we can evaluate it and students can enter and quickly graduate from the doctoral program.

[The Academic Council:]

The Academic Council of Hope International Seminary of Theology will review the documentation submitted and determine whether the student has the necessary experience and studies to enroll, or how many subjects they must take to graduate at their respective level of study.
