Statement of Faith

[At Hope International Seminary of Theology we hold to these beliefs]

We believe that the Bible is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God.

We believe in one God eternal, existing in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.

We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, His sinless life, in His miracles, His sacrificial and atoning death, in His resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His future return to earth.

We believe in salvation by Grace
through Faith.

We believe in the forgiveness of sins through Jesus Christ and His redemptive blood.

We believe in regeneration by the Holy Spirit which is absolutely essential for personal salvation.

We believe in the filling of the Holy Spirit, supernaturally empowering His children to carry out the commission given by Christ with gifts, miracles, and signs and wonders.

We believe in divine healing for the human body as a result of the redemptive work of Christ on the cross, and in response to the prayer of faith made in the Name of Jesus.

We believe in the sanctifying work of the Holy Spirit, who empowers the Christian to live a holy life through His indwelling presence.

We believe in the resurrection both of the saved as well as the unsaved, the former for eternal life and the later for eternal condemnation.

We believe in the Church, , the company of all those who have been redeemed by Jesus Christ and who believe and practice the teachings of the Gospel.

We believe in the Second Coming of Christ for His church, to take her up to heaven to be with God and with Him, this is our blessed hope.

Life or ministry experience

[Life or ministry experience: for the Bachelor’s Program]

Hope International Seminary of Theology offers special recognition for pastors (they can be assistant pastors, youth pastors, etc.) Due to the Educational Laws of the United States of America (you must be 26 years old or older when enrolling), our Seminary at the University Level may be able to recognize a significant amount of credits for Ministry Experience (course subjects that do not need to be taken, up to 25%, depending on your particular ministry experience). This benefit must be requested by letter, enclosing your Resume or CV, signed by the applicant and by the Tutor or your spiritual authority).

This opportunity may be very useful for pastors who want to enroll in the Bachelors of Theology of Practical Ministry and later go on to a Masters and Doctorate.

25% equals 5 course subjects in the program of 21 for the Bachelors of Theology of Practical Ministry and these course subjects that are approved as Ministry Experience will be assessed at 50% of the value of the current course in the program and methodology that you have selected (VCC).

[Life or ministry experience: for Masters Program]

More than two decades ago a law was approved in the United States that benefits those students who are older than 25 years of age and who want to continue with their university education (they must be at least 26 years of age when enrolling). They can receive credit for their accumulated experience through the different Christian ministry work they have performed, and so be able to complete their university studies in an accelerated manner.

This benefit gives potential students one of these two options:
- Enroll directly in the Masters Program.
- Receive credit for two course subjects in the Masters Program. The student will not have to take these course subjects and will pay the fee for these two courses at 50% of the current value of the course under the Program and Methodology that he has selected (VCC).

We must clarify that the student can use (in the Masters Program) the benefit of "Life or Ministry Experience" one time. That is, if the student is admitted into the Masters Program as a result of this benefit, the student CANNOT request transfer credits to be applied in order to take less course subjects.

We must clarify that a student can utilize the benefit of “Life or Ministry Experience” only one time (in the Masters Program). In other words, if he enrolls in the Masters Program under this benefit, he CANNOT later request approval for transfer credits in order to take less courses.

1. By taking this benefit into consideration we can offer Pastors, Professors, Evangelists (or other recognized ministries) (or other recognized ministries)

2. The experience is worth academic credits. The student who wishes to use these credits towards his education must send the Academic Council a signed letter from the Regional Director of Hope International Seminary of Theology; in the case that the student is enrolled in Correspondence or Online, from his immediate superior (certifying as to the facts) and enclosing his CV or Resume, so that we can evaluate it and the student can be enrolled in the program, as well as graduate in an accelerated manner from the Masters Program.

[Life or ministry experience: for Doctorate Program]

This law that was previously explained benefits students who are older than 26 years of age and who want to complete their university education. They can be given credit for their accumulated experience performed in different areas for over 15 years in Christian ministry and so complete their university studies in an accelerated manner.

The benefit granted at this level is that the student receives credit for two course subjects in the Doctorate Program. The student will not have to take these course subjects and will pay the fee for these two courses at 50% of the current value of the course under the Program and Methodology that he has selected (VCC).

We must clarify that the student can use (in the Doctorate Program) the benefit of "Life or Ministry Experience" one time. That is, if the student is admitted into the Doctorate Program as a result of this benefit, the student CANNOT request transfer credits to be applied in order to take less course subjects.

The student who wishes to use these credits towards his education must send the Academic Council a signed letter from the Regional Director of Hope International Seminary of Theology; in the case that the student is enrolled in Correspondence or Online, from his immediate superior (certifying as to the facts) and enclosing his CV or Resume, so that we can evaluate it and the student can be enrolled in the program, as well as graduate in an accelerated manner from the Doctorate Program.

[The Academic Council:]

The Academic Council of Hope International Seminary of Theology will evaluate the documents presented by each student, and will determine if the student possesses the necessary experience and studies in order to enroll, or will determine how many course subjects must be taken in order for the student to graduate at his or her level of study.
